MJM Engines has been rebuilding engines in Escondido, California for over 30 years. We started as a machine shop focused on doing precision engine work the right way — and that hasn't changed.
We're a family-owned operation. When you bring your engine to us, you're dealing directly with the people doing the work — not a service writer passing your job down the line.
Our approach is straightforward: we rebuild engines to OEM specifications using kind-for-kind replacement parts. No performance modifications, no upselling. If your engine needs it, we do it. If it doesn't, we tell you.
We also accept carry-out engine work — if you've pulled your own engine and need the machine work and rebuild done, bring it in. We'll handle it the same way we handle everything else: right the first time.

The Machine Shop

Most shops send their machine work out. We don't. Our in-house machine shop is equipped to handle every precision operation a proper engine rebuild requires — boring, honing, decking, crankshaft grinding, valve seat cutting, and more.
Keeping everything under one roof means we control quality at every step. There's no waiting on a third-party vendor, no miscommunication between shops, and no finger-pointing if something isn't right. One shop. One warranty.
